The Big Bay webcam brought to you by Atlantic Surf has been running for a few months now. This service is there for your convenience, and to help you plan your surf missions on the West Coast. We decided to place it at Big Bay since Big Bay might not always have the best waves but it is surfabile in most conditions, small to big swell and off shore to on shore winds.-old faithfull – please feel free to send us any comments or suggestions to improve this service.

BEWARE OF SURFERS EAR

There are some advantages to surfing on the West Coast (less crowds, no sharks) but one of the biggest disadvantages of surfing in the cold water is a condition called surfers ear. It is a bony growth in the ear canal. This is just a way the body tries to protect itself from the cold water. The more you surf, the faster it grows......
